LIFT 2026: Empowers LCSC Leaders to See the Mission More Clearly

Las Vegas, Nevada | June 5–7, 2026

88 participants from across the West Zone Area gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada for the LCSC Institute of Formation and Training (LIFT) 2026.

Representing Nevada, Arizona, North and South California, Texas, and Chicago, participants came together for three days of formation, worship, fellowship, and mission-focused discussions designed to strengthen and empower those serving in the LCSC ministry.

The gathering drew inspiration from the Gospel of Mark:

"And he saw clearly, his sight was restored and he could see everything distinctly." (Mark 8:25)

This Scripture passage served as a fitting reminder of the purpose of LIFT—to help servant leaders renew their vision, deepen their understanding of the mission, and see more clearly where God is leading LCSC in the years ahead.

Throughout the weekend, participants attended formation sessions led by Bro. Barber Rabor, Bro. Bembet Salazar, and Bro. Ed Yamba. The sessions focused on the LCSC Pillars, the various LCSC Publics, and practical approaches to evangelization and community building. Leaders had the opportunity to learn from one another, exchange experiences, and discover effective practices that have helped communities thrive in different parts of the country.

One of the highlights of the event was the sharing and reflection from Father Joel, who reminded participants of the importance of authentic Christian witness. He challenged everyone to move away from gossip and negativity and instead become instruments of Christ's love and unity. His message resonated deeply with the attendees and served as a timely reminder that effective evangelization begins with how we live our faith every day.

Beyond the classroom sessions, LIFT 2026 was filled with meaningful moments of worship, prayer, fellowship, and relationship-building. Participants experienced powerful times of praise and worship, celebrated the Eucharist together, and spent evenings strengthening friendships with fellow servant leaders from across the nation.

Many participants shared how encouraging it was to learn how LCSC is being lived out in other areas. Hearing stories of growth, challenges, and victories inspired leaders to dream bigger for their own communities and ministries.

A recurring theme throughout the weekend was the importance of building strong relationships—not only within parish communities but also with organizations, ministries, and groups outside the parish. Participants recognized that these connections can become valuable opportunities to bring Life in Christ Seminars to new communities and help more people encounter Jesus Christ.

As the event came to a close, participants left Las Vegas renewed, encouraged, and equipped to continue the mission entrusted to them. LIFT achieved its goal of nourishing and empowering servant leaders while strengthening the unity of the LCSC community across the United States.

More importantly, it reminded everyone that the mission continues long after the conference ends. With renewed vision and a clearer understanding of God's call, participants returned to their respective areas committed to sharing Christ, forming disciples, and helping others experience a deeper relationship with Him.

The success of this long-awaited gathering marks an exciting step forward for LCSC in the United States. As leaders continue to build on what was learned during LIFT 2026, the hope is that even more individuals, families, parishes, and communities will encounter Christ and experience the transformative power of His love.
